Girl, you’re saying what we are all thinking, or feeling.
Thank you for fighting against the self-doubt and world’s pre-occupation with numbers and sharing your stories. Those who read them are better for it. ❤️
Congrats on the article Stacy! I have asked myself that exact same question about wanting to be an author but not wanting to play the game. Really enjoyed reading your reflections on this topic!
What happy news! 😄I’ve been really delighted to find a fellow ‘farming’ writer and really connect with your words. I’ve had the same real feelings many times about ‘Am I a terrible writer or just terrible at social media? Or both.’ Thank you for the time you’ve taken to connect with me in my tiny space here on Substack!
So happy for you and your upcoming article, Stacy! 🙌🏼🥳 Congratulations!!
I relate so much to the IG struggle. I just want it to be my fun place, but knowing I need to convince publishers/ agents to take a chance on me (now that song is stuck in my head 😩) I always wonder if I should be doing more. But then I just stick to the same old, same old. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m just going to have fun with it.
I relate to that too -- just wanting to have fun! But honestly, I just don't know how much I would post/share if it were just for fun, you know? But maybe that's because my mentality has been so focused on growth that I forgot what it's like to just have fun there.
Pre-ordered 🎉 Thank you for sharing, Stacy. Like Dani said, you're saying what we all think and feel at times. For me, it's comforting to know I'm not the only one who can get caught up in "the things of this world," but it's also encouraging to see you act despite the doubt & fear. I'm like, "If Stacy can do it, I can too." I'm inspired by your authenticity. Cheering you on!
Thanks, Kathryn! That's so kind of you to order! It is so easy to get caught up the things of this world. Even when we don't want to. And what a compliment -- thank you! Cheering you on, too!!
Hey Stacy! You have such an engaging style to read. So many things connect. It sounds like you are saying; I saw a need, a door, something helpful, and was unsure my words would help. We say, other's words I remember, other's words were powerful, other's were beautiful. The coolest thing is when that ONE person gets hit by YOUR thoughts, and it resonates. Just let it happen! ps Kudos on the article; great title!

I just love your writing! And I appreciate it when people discuss their feelings around social media. It helps me decipher my own. X

This is SO exciting, Stacy! "I assumed it would be rejected when I pitched, but I did it anyway." Yeah, you did! Way to persevere!
Haha, always the optimist! ;) Thank you!!

Celebrating this win (see: grit, perseverance, creating anyway, etc) with you!!! ❤️
Thanks so much, Ashlee! And thank YOU for the pictures (and filling out the long form they asked you to). 😬
The more you write, the more you write. :) Congratulations, Stacy. You are a bold example of what it (really) looks like to be a faithful writer.
Thanks, Callie. If I'm bold, it's because you showed me the way.
