Thank you for all these meals, so nice to have insight to what other farm/ranch wives are feeding their crews. We call them “taco in a bag” in Canada/alberta, they are often on menus at hockey rinks, rodeos, etc. here. We always do them camping!

I love getting ideas from other people, too!! Walking tacos/tacos in a bag are pretty common here, too! At the county fair, football games.

Walking tacos must be known to all Americans, except the west coast. 😆 Let me know if you try any of the walking desserts!!

I would like to point out the irony of you referring to yourself as “sort of lazy” in a post about making meals for large amounts of people over a sustained period of time 😉. This is amazing! I’ll be stealing a few for our own dinners.

Ha! Well, this is true. But I do take shortcuts to save my sanity. ;)

Was thinking the same thing! Nothing about this post says "lazy" to me.

Walking tacos are totally a Midwest thing, our 4-H food stand at the fair always has them and they are my favorite! Definitely best with cheesy Doritos. Love the tip about the pump bottle. And yes 💯 to toting around all the tableware together and having baby wipes and hand sanitizer on hand.

I’m sure that your crew appreciates hot meals as sandwiches get really old after awhile. Also it’s nice to gather together for a break as opposed to eating on the go. We are a much smaller operation but try to do the same.

Walking tacos must be a known to everyone, except the West coast. Haha. I ordered special bags of Doritos from a local restaurant just for walking tacos at harvest this year! I'll have to remember to take a pic and share here.

Yes, they do appreciate the break and a hot meal! They all pack their own lunches, so I'm sure they are eating lots of sandwiches!

These are so great! I’ll share with my sister who cooks 50ish meals a day during potato harvest. I’m sure you two could compare notes!

I’m dreaming of someone delivering field meals to the strawberry patch while my fridge at home is looking like bare bones.😅

Happy Harvest!

50 meals a day?! That is wild!!

I still need to grocery shop and finish my harvest meal plan. That's on today's agenda!! Haha.

Thank you!! These are such great ideas. Our guys don’t stop to eat so the need for non-messy handheld food always throws me for a loop every year

Oh, that's hard! Our guys don't stop during seeding, so I take meals out in the styrofoam containers. But it's tricky!

I loved all these ideas, Stacy! Going to try your “fancy” hot dogs! And I haven’t heard of walking tacos but those sound great too :)

Thanks, Megan! Walking tacos are always fun, you can use Doritos or Fritos! Depending on everyone's preferences! :)

Love walking tacos!! Here the debate is whether you use Doritos or Fritos! And eating right out of the bag is the best.

Yes!! We use both!! And eating out of the bag is must!! :)

These are so fun! I don't have the same situation, but I'm stealing these ideas for school nights when everyone is hangry and in desperate need of food from 5-11pm at night. Maybe I'll turn my dining room table into a buffet. Haha!
