Love this. "I like my life." Such a simple thought, but it makes me want to keep paying attention to all those little, magical moments that make up my life.
I love those simple moments of realization that life is good. this is the third time today I’ve read about ordinary moments being the extraordinary, so I’ll take it as the nudge it is to step back from my latest over analysis of life and motherhood. Thank you for sharing your heart Stacy, there’s always a little gem in your writing that I feel like is in there just for me, just in that moment.
I love those moments of realizing how much life is so great. And you’re right, the realization usually comes in all those small moments ♥️
True story: I had to fly on an Malaysia Airline flight TWO days after that flight went missing. When our family boarded the plane, they had a selection of newspapers to choose from—one of which had a front cover story of their missing airline! To calm my anxiety, I told myself the safest time to fly was probably right after a major accident like that one 😬😅🙏🏼
Love getting a glimpse into farm life with the little update and also into your life ✨ I was just recently thinking about that plane too and I wonder if we'll ever find out for sure. Even if we don't know about that plane and those poor people, God saw it and knows. Not sure if you're extending the giveaway all the way to Australia but I would love a chance to read those books! Especially Ashlee's 💛
I loved reading how you soaked up your kids first big trip! We went on our first big family trip last year and it was so fun to see the amazement in their eyes and watch their works expand. I also added your braided essay book to my TBR list! After raking Adrienne’s class I’m obsessed with braided essays--I think they are my favorite form! (Also, would love to win the books!)
Really enjoyed this “life lately” recap. Coincidentally, I just made Korean beef & rice tonight for the first time in several years. I had forgotten about it until recently, but it is always nice to have another easy ground beef recipe!
resonate with the geriatric bedtime and the primary thought in my head the hour before kids’ bedtime being, “I can’t wait to lay down and read my book!” reading this this morning had me feeling “i like my life” so much of today!! the mid 60s temps helped too i assume 😆 and 👏🏼👏🏼 to book giveaway!
I just finished True Biz by Sara Novic and I really enjoyed it! the story is set at a deaf school which was so new to me and got me thinking a whole lot!
Yes! This is how I felt all winter long. I love our slower evenings. I’m not ready for the ramp up of the summer farming schedule yet and the late and busy nights that brings.
It's only three episodes! It was interesting hearing the theories people have about what happened to the plane... some of them seemed pretty out there... but I guess after all this time, who knows!
I am low-key obsessed with those “I like my life” realization moments. Also, cheers to the end of calving and the start of seeding! And you know I’d love to win those books 😉❤️ #spendingfreezeFOMO

Thanks, Sarah!
I keep seeing You Could Make This Place Beautiful pop up alot of different places-- think I may have to add it to my TBR!
It’s really good! I’m almost finished with it.
So enjoyed reading this! I’m adding the braided essay book to my TBR and can’t say I’m going to watch the plane special on Netflix 😂 I know my limits.
😆😆 The book is a good one! I just bought another one of her books!
Such an interesting life to like! I love reading about it! Thanks for all your beautiful observations!
Thanks, Joy! 💛

Thank you, Shaya! That means a lot. (P.S. I'll bring your dress to you tomorrow!)

Oh my gosh! I don’t think I could have gotten on that flight! Is that plane still talked about much? What are people saying who live in the area??

Yes, so true about God knowing. I will include you in the drawing! Thanks for reading and commenting! 💛 I’m glad you enjoyed the farm updates!!
I watched the MH370 doc too. It is truly mind-blowing that there are still no definitive answers about what happened to that plane!
I keep wanting to wear rompers, but every one I have tried looks so frumpy on me. Maybe I just haven't found the right one yet?
Thanks for the chance to win the books! I loved Ashlee's and am wanting to read the other one.
Rompers can be hit or miss!! So wild about that plane. And sad for the families who just don’t know.

Yes! I had forgotten about Korean beef until a few weeks ago! It is so easy!

Yes! It was a nice sunny day yesterday!! 💛💛 are you reading any good books lately??

I haven’t heard of that one!

Same! Rich has been gone the last two nights and bedtime alone is no fun. But I keep trying to tell myself it’s just a season. 🤪
I totally want to watch the show on the plane, but I’m afraid it will freak me out. 🤪 Also, would be delighted to win either book!

You're the winner, Cara!! I'll get the books in the mail to you this week!
Yes! I love when I stop to actually notice them.
