That 7M cult documentary was NUTS. Have you watched Geek Girl? It’s cute and fun and only 10 episodes. Also, the movie Love at First Sight on Netflix is sweet and quirky.
I loved None of This is True and God of the Woods. Couldn’t put either down, thriller and a little creepy and suspenseful but not scary. Way to make it through harvest!
Your zinnias!! Are you thinking of growing any other flowers next year? (Also curious what soil you used in those containers because they’re so happy!)
Can I interest you in watching Love Is Blind: UK? 😅 not sure that’s in your wheelhouse but it’s the last thing I binged on Netflix. Recent book recs - Beartown (WOW, the writing, but heavy), and Just For the Summer (easy breezy 24 hour read, lots of likeable characters).
I actually read Beartown a couple of years ago! It's been so long that I don't remember much about it. I know I started the second book, but never finished it. Which might have been a timing thing, and maybe I should try again! I'll look for Just For the Summer!!
Also loved Summer Romance this summer. Annnd, my 10 year-old would trade a waterpark for a combine ride any day! But, I completely relate to your question over whether our kids will have good vacation memories, etc.
We went on a trip last summer to Alberta with our kids and though we loved the mountains, the zoo, dinosaurs, etc, one of their best memories is all of us eating ramen noodles in our hotel room one evening!😅
My hubby just introduced me to the Post Malone album yesterday and his fave is ‘Losers’, we’ve listened to it many times since. He does country well!!
September(when we start school) and changes in mothering stages always seem to coincide and tug at the heart.💕
Loved this story, Stacy. I grew up with simple summers, too, and I have wonderful memories.
Thanks, Laura!!
My youngest is starting K and I’ve had all the feelings about this next stage of motherhood, too!
It’s so bittersweet.

It was nuts! Oh my gosh! I haven’t watched those!
Believe me, you’ll look back at these days as some of the best ever! Bet your kids will always remember the 36 hour trip! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Anthony!!
You’re very welcome! Have a great day!

I’ll have to check those out, thank you!

Probably just zinnias again. :) I think this was the 3rd summer I did all zinnias! I’m pretty sure I just used potting soil for the top layer.
My entire book club ripped through Listen for the Lie - you won’t be able to put it down once you start reading!
Ooh thanks for that suggestion! I just put a hold on it at my library!
