I have to be honest and say that my first thought reading this (borne out of my limited rural life experience) was - wait! Your husband is still in bed when you wake up? We’re not doing harvest, but because his work is still seasonal he’s usually up in the 4:30 hour and I am... not 😆
Love reading the reflections. I missed weekends too, and now I miss the other parts. You can’t win it all, can you?
Ha! Depends on the time of year. During harvest, he doesn't get home until 11 or 11:30 and then he's up between 5-6 and gone for the day! My wake up times vary, some days I'm up before him, some days, I'm not. ;)
So fun to learn about a life so different than mine in the suburbs of Birmingham, AL. Snacks I’m currently hiding: Dot’s pretzels, boom chikka pop kettle corn, and any flavor Blue Bell icecream.
These photos are gorgeous, and I love reading about farm life. This city girl was NOT expecting grain bags to be so large! 😆
Also, that Scamanda podcast was BANANAS. How she deceived people for so long and didn’t spontaneously combust from the ickiness of it all boggles my mind.
Love your farm updates and your words on life in general. And those big open skies! Makes me miss summer here in wintery Perth, Australia! Loved seeing the seed up close too. I didn't know canola looked like that! There's lots of canola grown here in our region of Western Australia so it's fascinating to me!
I love this, Stacy! Your images are so beautiful and I love what you’re saying about all the things you want to write about and how that’s real life. Maybe that’s even more true in the summer months. I feel like my attention has been so divided with my move and having all the kids home and exploring and... and... Thanks for sharing the beauty of your real life!
Thank you for sharing your words, Stacy. And I also love the Farm Happenings section and the accompanying photos! I’m learning so much from you!
Thank you, Sarah!! That's so nice of you to say!
These photos are breathtaking!
Thank you, Wendy!!

Thank you! So true.
Stacy, this was such a fun peek into your life, I love it. Keep sharing, friend! Also, trying those cookie bars :)
Thanks, Katie!!
Come to the dark side! I gave up Instagram and have zero regrets.
Yes! Did you completely delete your account? Or just sign out?
I've been signed out since February. I want to get all my data from it then will probably eventually completely delete it.

I'm a sucker for ice cream! Thanks for reading, Alyssa!
Well, I just loved this Stacy. <3
Thanks, friend.
Loved this update, and your photos are just dreamy.
Thank you!! I got some good lighting!

Thanks, Erin! And yes, they are really big! They are even longer than you can see in the picture!
I still cannot get over Amanda's story! Gah.

Thanks, Kym! That means a lot! Canola is so pretty when it's in full bloom! We hit 107 degrees the other day -- which is way too hot!
All that yellow is gorgeous 😍 woah that is hot! 😅 As much as I love summer, that is a bit hot 😂

Thanks, Joy! Yes, I bet you are feeling all over the place this summer!! Hopefully fall will bring a little more routine and rest for us all. 🤪
Beautiful words! Thank you for giving us a little peek into your life. So fun! Also, thank you for the Scamanda recommendation. I am addicted!😳
Thanks so much, Danielle! It’s been fun to share more about my farm life!
And isn’t that podcast wild?! I still can’t get over it.
Me neither!
